The closer to the deluxe edition of Glory is certainly a puzzler. Co-written by Spears, “Coupure Électrique” is sung like a sweet lullaby completely in French with an atmospheric, industrial trap beats as a backing. Critics can’t claim she didn’t step outside her comfort zone on Glory! The English translation of the title means “power outage” or “blackout,” a coy reference to one of her most beloved albums. It’s ominous, it’s weird, and we are absolutely here for it.
