It’s quite remarkable that a song that brought together the talents of Spears, Robyn, and Imogen Heap is a relatively obscure number in Spears’s discography, having only been released in select markets as a bonus track on the Britney & Kevin: Chaotic EP. It is a club track that hits like an aural strobe light with enough buzzes and whirs to keep the listener spinning yet mesmerized. It was a glimpse of the genius we’d see a few years later on Robyn’s masterful Body Talk album(s). The spoken pieces here can get to be a bit much, but otherwise, Spears’s punchy vocals are a good match for the frantic production. It may be a little more niche than some of her other dance tracks, but it does deserve more exposure than it’s received to date.
