(Smith, Bright, Waithe)
Album: Femme Fatale
“If you want my love you can only find it on the dance floor.” This line from 2011’s “Trouble for Me” pretty much sums up Spears’s musical philosophy. While has had some excellent and memorable ballads (see “Everytime”), her art and innovation has left its biggest mark in dance-pop. “Trouble for Me” is an example of an excellent Britney track on an album filled with excellent dance cuts, all but ensuring that some gems would be overshadowed. The song’s warbly synth and buzzy bass pack a punch and it contains one of the album’s strongest choruses. The infectious album cut was performed lived during The Femme Fatale Tour and joins the ranks of “Shattered Glass” and “Can’t Make You Love Me” as one of Britney’s most danceable deep-cuts.
