Spears seems very inspired by motherhood, having written this song for her two young sons. Like “Unusual You,” this showcased a softer side of Britney on an album that was otherwise chock full of dance anthems. She puts her trademark falsetto to work here to beautiful effect, even if the lyrics skew a bit saccharine. Like “Dear Diary,” it feels out of place both thematically and sonically on the record, especially when positioned between “Lace and Leather” and the bonus track “Radar.” It would have made for a welcome bonus track itself.
