The intro to “Tik Tik Boom” sounds like it could have been pulled from the Nintendo run and gun game Super C. Spears flaunts the sass and the falsettos during the verses, even if the chorus itself is a predictable anticlimax over trap beats. T.I., specifically selected by Britney, delivers a rap verse that is solid in terms of flow, even if lacking in overall taste. It’s not a particularly noteworthy track when compared to her larger catalogue, but it is far from the worst song on Britney Jean.
